Here’s Apple’s newest addition to their growing family of macbooks. The Macbook Air. At .76 inches from its thickest to .16 inches at its thinnest, it is the thinnest laptop ever made. It is so thin that you can even fit it into a Manila Envelope(great anti-theft disguise but I wouldn’t suggest it for protection against bumps and drops). Even at its thickest part it still measures thinner than the Sony’s thinnest laptop.
Although this macbook isn’t meant for users who demand the most out of their mobile computing work horse. Although this would be great for people who prefer thinner and lighter load and can live with a little less performance compared to it’s brothers(macbook and macbook pro) making it the slowest Mac. And of course like most ultraportables the Macbook Air doesn’t come with an optical drive but you can purchase a matching external optical drive for it. I guess being too thin comes with a price. Its starting price is at $1799.
It’s quite fascinating how today’s technology can make things so thin. Especially when it comes to Apple products. They’re starting to redesign all of their product lines from bulky white gizmos into black/metallic ultra slim works of wonders. Can’t wait to see how thin they can go.

I’d be far more impressed if it could actually perform comparably. You see, I too have an ULTRA COOL MacBook Pro (not the AIR version), but unfortunately it is so slow it is going to be next to impossible to meet client deadlines.
